Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Balochistan: 11 previously abducted Baloch released from Pakistan forces illegal custody
QUETTA: At least 11 Baloch have been released, including a man who was illegally detained for two years, in past few days.
According to details, Pakistan forces had abducted eight Baloch from Madag Kaor area of Kolwah in district Kech Balochistan on Saturday 22 September.
The victims were identified as Nasibullah Baloch, Qadir Bakhsh Baloch, Dilshad Baloch, Mirza Baloch, Kamal Din Baloch, Abdul Samad Baloch, Abdul Rasheed Baloch and Charo Baloch.
Balochwarna News has informed that seven men among above-mentioned victims have been released on Sunday (September 23) whereas one of the victims Abdul Rasheed son Haidar resident of Madag Kaor Kolwah is still in the custody of Pakistani forces.
Another two Baloch have been released from Panjgur who were abducted nine months ago by Pakistan FC and other security agencies.
The freed men have been named as Aziz son Malang resident of Prom Kalshan and Wafa son of Allah Bakhsh resident of Prom Jaen.
Meanwhile, two other previously abducted Baloch have been released in district Kech Balochistan on Sunday.
The identity of the released men was confirmed as school teacher Abdul Aziz son of Mullah Khan Mohammad and Ameer son of Mohammad Umar.
Balochwarna New had reported the abduction of teacher Abdul Aziz and Dr Khalid in March 2018. They were abducted earlier on 12 March 2018 from Uthal city in district Lasbela Balochistan.
Dr Khalid’s whereabouts remain unknown since his abduction by Pakistani forces in March 2018.
Ameer son of Mohammad Umar and his brother Sameer was arrested and subsequently disappeared during a raid from Gokdan area of district Kech. Their exact date of abduction could not be ascertained so far.
On Sunday 23 September 2018 Ameer has reached home, in Gokdan, wearing a long beard and physically weak but his brother Sameer is still in the illegal custody of Pakistani forces.
In recent weeks the Pakistani security forces have released some Baloch including those who were arrested and disappeared many years ago. However, twice as many (if not more) have been enforced-disappeared.
The Baloch human rights campaigners and pro-freedom political activists say even though it is good news that some Baloch have been released and reunited with their despaired families after several years of illegal disappearances.
However, the perpetrators who abducted these Baloch and deprived them of their liberty for many years and subjected them to inhuman torture remain at large and continue their crime of enforced-disappearances unabated.
