Balochistan: Pakistani forces abducted several Baloch from Gwadar, Kech
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have abducted dozens of Baloch in military offensives in Balochistan’s district Gwadar and Kech in past three days.
According to details, Pakistani forces carried out offensives in Robar and Passo areas of Jiwani Balochistan in district Gwadar Sunday night. The forces have also harassed women and children during their offensives.
The names and other details of the abducted persons could not be confirmed at the time of filing this report.
Also on Sunday, Pakistani security forces raided a house in Hirronk area of Kech and abducted 14-year-old Salim son of Radu.
Earlier on Friday 2nd November, Pakistani forces abducted another two students from Hirronk area of district Kech Balochistan.
The victims whisked away on their way to Hirronk Bazaar, were named as 15-year-old Masaap son of Jaado and 20-year-old Tahir son of Sardo.
Meanwhile, the whereabouts of four Baloch men abducted from Gwadar and Kech on 20 October 2018 also remain unknown.
On Saturday 3rd November, Pakistani arrested and disappeared two men including a truck driver from Gwadar.
The abductees were identified as driver Nazeer son on Wasti resident of Hoshab and conductor Jamal son of Rostum resident of Kelkaor Balgtar Balochistan.
Three men were abducted from a shop in Sengani Sar Turbat region of district Kech. One of the men has been named as Wahag son of Ismael resident of Kelkaor whereas the identity of other two persons has not been established yet.
In another incident, Balach son of Faisal was abducted from New Town Gwadar on 20 October 2018 by Pakistani intelligence agencies. He is a resident of New Town Gwadar.
Pakistani forces have intensified offensives including enforced-disappearances and raids in Gwadar after the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked a CPEC related housing scheme project in Jiwani on 31st October.
Five staff including an engineer of a construction company were killed and three others wounded.
The attack was carried out at a time when Pakistan government invited has representatives of 26 six countries in an effort to mislead them into believing that Gwadar is safe for foreign investment.
However, the attack by Baloch fighters contradicted the government claims and showed that Baloch people are strongly against China-Pakistan joint exploitation of their resources.
