Balochistan: Pakistani forces suffer losses in Rakhni attack, BLA accept responsibility
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces reportedly suffered heavy losses in an ambush by Baloch fighters on November 4, 2018, in Rakhni area of district Barkhan Balochistan.
According to details, Baloch fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces in Kharcha Ochadi Sham region of Rakhni. The gun battle continued for half an hour and Pakistani forces suffered heavy losses.
The Baloch Liberation Army spokesperson, Azad Baloch, informed media sources on Wednesday that BLA carried out the Rakhni attack.
He said that BLA fighters remained safe in the half an hour battle but Pakistani forces suffered casualties.
Azad Baloch in his statement said that the organisation (BLA) has honoured Eido aka Fida Baloch with the title of ‘Ajeo e Sarmataab’.
‘Eido Baloch embraced martyrdom in June 2017 but the organisation could not announce his activities for obvious reasons.
‘Eido joined Baloch liberation struggle in 2010 from BLF’s platform but in 2015 he developed political difference [with them] and he joined BLA,’ Azad Baloch said.
He said that Eido code-named Fida Baloch was at the forefront in all missions but apart from facing the enemy’s challenges and brutalities, he was also under immense pressure from his family.
However, he remained steadfast and followed the philosophy of freedom and chose martyrdom instead of surrendering.
The BLA spokesperson said another member of the organisation [BLA] Noor Ahmad was martyred in Kochik area of Buleda on 28 May 2016 and added, ‘we are still investigating the cause and motives of his death.’
He said, ‘Noor Ahmad son of Hassan code-named Shahal was a loyal and honest friend and the organisation respects his sacrifices.’
