Balochistan: Pakistan Military Collaborator’s Hideout Attacked in Kharan
Balochistan: Aged father whisked away after two days of son’s disappearance
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have abducted an aged man from Balochistan’s Awaran district on Thursday only two days after the abduction of his son.
According to details, Ghamshad son of Lewari was on his way from Awaran to Karachi when Pakistani forces offloaded him from a vehicle at a military check post.
Ghamshad is a resident of Malaar Karak Dal area of Balochistan’s restive Awaran district where Pakistan forces continue their offensives.
Previously, Pakistan FC, military and other security forces have abducted hundreds of people including women and children from Awaran.
Two days ago on Tuesday (18 December), Pakistani forces abducted his Ghamshad’s son Sudeer along with a friend named Dildad during a military offensive from Malaar Karak Dal area in Awaran.
It is pertinent to mention that these disappearances took place at a time when families of forcibly disappeared Baloch have intensified their peaceful protest in Quetta.
The latest boost up to the protest was seen after abducted Baloch student leader Shabir Baloch’s wife Zar Jan Baloch and sister Seema Baloch travelled from Awaran to set up a protest camp in Quetta – the capital of Balochistan.
Since then hundreds of other families have also joined the protest camp to demand the recovery of their loved ones. However, despite more than a month of protest in cold weather of Quetta, there has been no response from Balochistan’s local government.
The majority of protesters are women and children who have been sitting at token the hunger strike camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons for more than a month now.
Today (Saturday) they have staged a sit-in protest outside the official residence of Chief Minister of Balochistan Mr Jam Kamal Khan.
In a social media message, the protesters said they will continue their peaceful protest until the recovery of their loved ones.
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons headed by Nasrullah Bangulzai Baloch, nephew of abducted Ali Asghar Bangulzai Baloch, has started their campaign against enforced-disappearances in 2009 after Pakistani forces started the notorious ‘kill and dump’ policy in Balochistan.
