Balochistan: Three abducted Baloch student leaders released
QUETTA: Three students including the chairman of Baloch Student Organisation (BSO) have been released on Thursday.
According to the details, BSO Chairman Zareef Rind, Secretary General Changez Buzdar Baloch and Information secretary Aurangzaib Lehri Baloch have reached their homes in Quetta – the capital of Balochistan Thursday.
The BSO leaders were abducted on December 5, 2018, after they had returned from a protest to demand the release of their organisation’s senior joint secretary Jiyand Baloch and his younger brother Hussain Baloch.
Both brothers along with their father were whisked away from Quetta during a raid on their house on 30 November 2018. Their father was later released but the brothers are still in custody of Pakistani forces.
The BSO is one of the several fractions of Baloch Student Organisation which recently changed its name from BSO-Pajjar that was affiliated with National Party of Hasil Bezinjo.
However, several members of another fraction of Baloch Student Organisation, namely BSO-Azad, are also still missing.
