LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement announces to run a four-day awareness campaign on social media to urge the president of UN General Assembly, María Fernanda Espinosa, to visit Balochistan during her visit to the Asia Pacific.

In their campaign, the FBM activists will also ask the UN GA to meet with families of Baloch missing persons who have been protesting against the abduction of their loved ones by Pakistani forces from past 10 years.

The FBM in their social media message said that the president of the UN General Assembly should also raise the issue of Enforced Disappearances in Balochistan with Pakistani officials during her visit to Pakistan.

The Free Balochistan Movement activists will start their campaign on 18 January and continue it till 21 January and use the hashtag: #UNVisitBalochistan.

It is pertinent to mention that the president of the UN General Assembly will visit Pakistan from Jan 18 to 22 during her first official visit to the Asia-Pacific region since she assumed office in September.
