It is pertinent to mention that the unending cycle of enforced-disappeared in Balochistan was started during the era of military dictator general Pervaiz Musharraf that continues to this day.
Most of the ‘civilian governments’ in Pakistan and their representatives in Balochistan have expressed helplessness to resolve the issue of missing persons and linked the issue of illegal abductions of activists directly to the military.
In Balochistan, the relatives of Baloch Missing Persons have been protesting for the recovery of their loved ones since 2009 from the platform of Voice for Baloch Missing Person lead by Nasrullah Baloch whose uncle Ali Asghar Bangulzai was abducted in 2001 and never heard of again.
