Balochistan: Four Pakistani soldiers killed, 11 injured in Panjgur attack
QUETTA: At least four Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have been killed and 11 others wounded in an ambush by Baloch freedom fighters on Sunday.
According to details, The Pakistani forces were attacked on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in Balgetar area in district Panjugr Balochistan.
The attackers have fled unharmed before confiscating the weapons of Pakistani soldiers.
The local authorities have confirmed the attack and killing of their four personnel and added, ‘the FC convoy was on a routine patrol when it came under attack.’
The Pakistani forces were attacked at a time when the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salam aka MBS was on a visit to Pakistan and signed a $20 billion Dollar agreement.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Jamal Kamal Khan, condemned the attack and termed it a ‘conspiracy’ against Balochistan’s ‘development’.
It is pertinent to mention that Baloch freedom fighters have long been saying that they will not allow any foreign investor in Balochistan until the Balochistan’s issue is resolved.
The Baloch armed resistance organisations and pro-freedom Baloch political parties consider the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as an exploitative colonial initiative by China and Pakistan to loot Balochistan’s natural resources.
