Pakistan-Sponsored Terrorism Biggest Violator of Human Rights in Jammu & Kashmir: India at UNHRC
Geneva, March 12: Retaliating to Pakistan’s charge against the Indian Forces of committing excesses in Jammu and Kashmir, India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations on Tuesday said the cross-border terrorism “sponsored” by Islamabad is the biggest challenge in safeguarding the human rights of civilians in the Valley.

India came down heavily on Pakistan at the UNHRC in Geneva as Kumam added, “Confirmation of using UN proscribed terror organization, Jaish-e-Mohammad as instrument of state policy by Pakistani military or political leadership is already in public domain. Pakistan is known to international community for its acts of aggression,harbouring safe havens for terrorists, military court trying civilians, harassment of minorities through blasphemy law, forced conversions and marriages of minorities.” India, Pakistan Should Fulfil Obligations Under International Human Rights Law: Amnesty.
Trying to highlight Pakistan’s abuse of Human Rights in its own country, the Permanent Mission of India to UN said that in “Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mass cases of enforced disappearances in northwestern Pakistan, state-sponsored extreme prejudices, religious intolerance and attacks on Muslim minorities, such as Shias, Ahmadiyas, Ismailia and Hazaras have been reported.”
India said that matters that needs to be addressed are “Pakistan’s illegal occupation of part of Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir and the sufferings of PoK ppl.” India reiterated its stand on Jammu and Kashmir and said that “Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Pakistan wrecked UN resolutions by violating its obligations to vacate territories under its control” and added, “we deeply regret Pakistan’s misuse of Council for its ritual of raking up malicious propaganda against India.”
