USA: Free Balochistan Movement activist protest in New York
New York: The activists of Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) held a protest in New York City on Friday 27 September, against Pakistani and Iranian state atrocities in Balochistan.
The protests happened on the day when the Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan addressed to the United Nations General Assembly and accused India of Human Rights violations in Kashmir.
The FBM activists carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Pakistan, demands for independence of Balochistan and urging Pakistan to leave Balochistan.
Highlighting Pakistani forces abuse of power in Balochistan, the protesters said Pakistan is a threat for the entire world. “Pakistan is a virus not just for India, Afghanistan or Balochistan, but for the entire world & humanity” Free Balochistan Movement activist, Shams Baloch, was quoted as saying by ANI.
“We aim to expose the real face of Pakistan before the world & let the world know that Pakistan is a blot on humanity,” Baloch added.
He said that despite being a signatory of the UN charter, Pakistan is involved in burning towns and villages of Baloch people, enforced-disappearances, eviction of Baloch villages in the name of CPEC in Balochistan.
“These are all forms of the genocide of Baloch people,” Sham Baloch said adding that Pakistan is not a country, in fact, it a piece of India which the British carved out of India.
The Baloch protest said that Pakistan is a factory of Jihadists and it is involved in inciting terrorism around the world.
The protesters also highlight Iranian state brutalities against Baloch people and said that Iran was involved in the arrest and execution of Baloch political activists.
Lately, the Iranian forces accelerated the targeted killing of Baloch religious scholars and educated youth.
The FBM activists have urged the UN, the delegates of other nations at UN General Assembly meetings and rest of the civilised world to support the Baloch struggle for freedom for the sake of regional and world peace.
