Balochistan: Four Baloch Citizens, Including a Woman, Arrested in Iranian Military Raid in Taftan
Balochistan: five wounded in Dera Allah Yar Acid attack
QUETTA: Unknown assailants have thrown acid on five people including on a family of four on Tuesday in Dera Allah Yar area of district Jaffarabad, Balochistan.
According to details, the suspects stormed the house of a Widow named Salam Bibi in railway colony of Dera Allah Yar and attacked a family of four with acid.
As a result, a couple (husband and wife) and two brothers have been seriously wounded.
The victims were immediately shifted to the district headquarters hospital Dera Allah Yar with critical burn injuries. The criminals managed to flee in the darkness of night.
The victims have been named as Salman Lighari, his wife Farhana Khatoo and two brothers Asiq Ali and Nadir Ali.
Hospital sources said that 50% Ashiq Ali body was burnt, Nadir Ali face was burnt and 40% of Salman’s boy was seriously burnt.
The mother of the victims Salma Bibi said, “We are poor people and we have no enmity and grudge with anyone. It is the height of cruelty against my family. My sons and my daughter were sleeping when the attacked happened.”
Ashiq Ali said that they have received threats of dire consequences on phone three days ago and last night the incident happened.
In another incident, a waiter ‘mistakenly, made a customer drink acid instead of water in Usta Mohammad Chowk area of Dera Allah Yar.
The victims Dur Mohammad lost conscious on the spot and was shifted to hospital.
The waiters along with other two persons have been taken into custody by the police for further investigation.
