 Balochistan: Baloch rights activist freed after 28 months of illegal disappearance

QUETTA: A Baloch Human Rights activist who was abducted on 28 October 2017 from Karachi has reached his home after 28 months of illegal detention and disappearance.

Nawaz Atta Baloch the ex-information secretary of Baloch Human Rights Organisation (BHRO) was abducted along with eight children from Gulistan-e-Johar region of Karachi by Sindh Rangers and Pakistani intelligence agencies.

He has reached his home in Balochistan’s industrial town Hub Chowki Balochistan today 22 March.

Nasrullah Baloch, the Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons – an organising striving for the release of Baloch missing persons has confirmed his release in a social media message on the organisation’s official page on Facebook and Twitter.

The BHRO has recently announced to merge with a Sweden based NGO by the name of Human Rights Commission of Balochistan (HRCB).
