Balochistan: Three Killed and One Injured in Grenade Explosion in Morthan
Our enemies and us
By Advocate Sadiq Raisani
The little hope that is left for the Baloch is the United Nations and the International Community. Baloch representatives have been informing the UN about Balochistan from past many years. Similarly, with limited resource, Baloch in America, Europe, Canada, Scandinavia and Australia have been doing their part of the job to apprise the world about the plight of Baloch nation at the hands of occupying states of Iran and Pakistan.
It is due to the positive efforts of Baloch Diaspora that sometimes the voice of Balochistan echoed in American Congress and some members of European parliament started speaking about Balochistan whereas India and Bangladesh have also expressed their brief support and concerns about Balochistan’s conflict.
South Korea has also a small number of Baloch who have been allowed to advance the cause of Baloch freedom struggle under the declared laws of the land.
Both Iran and Pakistan are involved in the dirty act of Baloch genocide in Balochistan and are responsible for inflicting miseries on the Baloch nation. Their hands are soaked with Baloch blood and their eyes are on Balochistan’s natural resources. This greed of Balochistan’s wealth has made them so blind that they’re trampling Baloch people under their feet to achieve their goal of looting and plundering Balochistan’s precious natural sources of coal, marble, gold and other treasures.
It is a decisive time for the Baloch nation and the Baloch leadership to represent the inspirations of our nation with a clear vision as there is no room for ambiguity. standing up to Punjabi occupation and having a soft corner for Iran doesn’t portray the vision of Balochistan’s current liberation struggle hence the pro-freedom leadership of Balochistan must decide whether Iran is the enemy of the Baloch nation or nor? Until now only Hyrbyair Marri has clearly and uncompromisingly proved himself as the leader and true representative of the inspirations of the Baloch nation.
In my view, as the cloud of new regional changes are looming over our heads, we should come out of our comfort zone, think collectively and weigh the pros and cons of being close to Iran. It is clear the history will not only judge our today’s mistakes but also our names will not be written, as they say, in golden words on the pages of history. To think that Iran is somehow a well-wisher of Balochistan is a national blunder and a betrayal to the cause of Baloch national movement for liberty.
The world is not naive to take notice and applause Baloch war of liberation against Pakistan’s occupation of Eastern part of Balochistan (Pakistan Occupied Balochistan) and ignore our treacherous silence on Iran’s brutalities against Western part of Balochistan (Iranian Occupied Balochistan). The world is watching Iran and noticing its every move and they are also observing every move of Baloch too to see if Baloch are capable of becoming a future possible ally of the world. We can prove that only when we come clear about Iran and unite our ranks. We cannot deny this fact that both Iran and Pakistan are occupiers of Baloch land and they’re blatantly perpetrating Baloch genocide.
The sustained ‘Baloch genocide’ is in the shape of military offensives, enforced disappearance, kill and dump of disappeared persons and collective punishment of Baloch activists, villages and towns in Pakistan Occupied Balochistan (POB). In the Iranian Occupied Balochistan (IOB) the genocide of Baloch continues in the shape of arbitrary arrests, extrajudicial executions, target killings of Baloch youth and pitting one tribe against another to incite internal conflicts. Pakistan contaminated Baloch land with its dirty nuke test and Iran is in the process of doing so if the world failed to force Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
The enemy states do not discriminate against Baloch when it comes to their cooperation to weaken, divide and eliminate the Baloch national struggle for freedom. But what about us; why it is that one Baloch thinks that Iran is the savour and the other regards Pakistan as an enemy? Hence, it is the responsibility of Baloch leadership to give the Baloch nation, especially, the educated Baloch youth a clear direction and prevent them from falling into the pro-Pakistan and pro-Iran trap.
