Balochistan: Mother appeals for her son’s release
QUETTA: An aged Baloch mother in a social media video message has appealed for her abducted son’s release.
“I am begging for my son, whoever has him, please release him and return him to me.”
About three weeks ago an employee of the Fisheries Department named Ayoub son of Musafir, a resident of Pasni, a coastal town in Balochistan and Ajib son of Elahi Bakhsh went missing while on their way from Pasni to Turbat.
The elderly mother said that her son has no other siblings, Ayoub is her only child. She said he [Ayoub] has two little kids who need him.
Balochistan has been plagued by such incidents for the past several years, the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies have been involved in enforced-disappearances and extra-judicial killings of Baloch youth.
It may be recalled that enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies in different parts of Balochistan, including Makran, has intensified once again and dozens of people, especially young students, have abducted from different areas in recent weeks.
