Balochistan: Protests in Gwadar and Pasni, Justice for Bramsh Baloch demanded
QUETTA: The residents of Pasni and Gwadar staged rallies and demonstrations on Saturday against the Dannuk incident in Turbat.
A rally was organised from Pasni bazaar to Shaheed Naseer Kamalan Chowk, before passing through various routes, it turned into a demonstration.
The rally participants expressed their outrage against the recent killing of a Baloch woman, Naz Malik, and injuring her innocent daughter, Bramsh Baloch, during a robbery at their house in Dannuk area of Turbat.
The participant also demanded harsh punishments for the perpetrators one of whom was arrested from the spot and the other two were apprehended later.
It must be noted that the perpetrators have strong connections with the Pakistan army, intelligence agencies and BAP party, the current ruling party in Balochistan.
Therefore, most people fear that they will not be punished and the victims’ family will not get justice.
The protesters termed the Turbat incident as an attack against the Baloch nation and have strongly demanded from the government to provide justice to little Bramsh Baloch by punishing the culprits.
Meanwhile, a separate protest rally was held in Gwadar against the Dannuk tragedy, later the participants staged a demonstration outside Gwadar Press Club and many key speakers expressed their views.
The speakers said that whole of Balochistan knew who armed such criminal gangs in district Kech Balochistan as these people were involved in many crimes.
They said it was also obvious who backs these perpetrators because common people are not even allowed to carry with them a knife but these criminals are allowed to keep weapons and roam freely in public places.
The protesters further said that the state agencies MI and ISI support such gangs who are involved in robbery and murder, to maintain their false writ and artificial fear in Balochistan.
The angry demonstrators maintained that wounding Bramsh Baloch and killing his mother was an attack on Baloch honour.
They reassured Bramsh Baloch that she should not consider herself alone; the whole of Balochistan including Gwadar is with her. ‘The deceased mother [Naz Malik] was not only Bramsh’s mother but she is the mother Balochistan,’ they said.
The crowd urged the law enforcement agencies to provide justice to Bramsh Baloch and demanded the main characters of Turbat incident Sameer Sabzal, Altaf Mazar, Basit aka Basu and Saifullah should be hanged at Turbat Chowk publicly.
It should be noted that Sameer son of Sabzal, a resident of Absar area of Turbat, is the head of a death squad formed by the ISI, who is involved in several other crimes in Turbat and Gwadar along with his armed accomplices, including kidnapping, theft and murder.
Saifullah a resident of Shahrak area, however, is a former Baloch sarmachaar [freedom fighters] who surrender before Pakistani forces and started doing their dirty job against Baloch people.
It is important to remember that the Pakistan army had created similar death squads and had given free hand to religious extremists during Bangladesh’s war of liberation.
The infamous Al-Shams and Al-Badar criminal gangs were creation of Pakistan army.
Baloch pro-freedom political parties and analysts have long been saying that Pakistan army, ISI and other forces are repeating the same crimes in Balochistan.
They have made and gave impunity to several death squads who are involved in drug trafficking, murder, abductions and other criminal activities with complete backing and knowledge of Pakistan army and ISI.
