 Balochistan: Pakistani forces abducted seven persons including two brothers from Panjgur

QUETTA: The Pakistani armed forces, intelligence agencies and other security apparatus continue arbitrary arrest and abductions in Balochistan amid COVID-19. In the past 24 hours at least seven Baloch have been abducted from Balochistan’s Panjgur district.

According to details, Pakistani forces abducted two persons from Taar office (telegram office) in Panjgur Balochistan on Thursday, June 10, 2020.

The abducted men have been named as Nasir son of Rahim Bakhsh and Mehraj son of Abdul Ghafoor.  Both men are labourers and were arrested while they were busy at their daily work.

One day prior on the 9th of June 2020 Pakistani forces abducted four Baloch youths including two brothers from Sari Gaddagi village of Balgather are in district Kech, Balochistan during a military offensives raid on their residents.

The abducted youths have been named Zaman Jan son of Sapa Khan, Majid Sapa Khan and Abul Hassan son of Rahmat and Ihsaab son Khalil have been shifted to the military camp in Balgathar without any legal procedure and court order.

Sources reported that the locals of the area along with the family members visited the nearby to record their protest and demand their release.

However, the military camp of the Pakistan army, according to information refused to acknowledge the arrest of their loved ones.

Separately, 26-year-old Alam khan son of Inayatullah has been arrested during a raid on his home in Chitkan town of Panjgur city on the evening of June 6, 2020, the family confirmed his abduction.  

Alam Khan is a student of second-year MA Balochi language at the University of Balochistan; he is the press secretary of Baloch Students Organization Pajjar, Panjgur zone.

BSO Pajjar and his family urge the government of Pakistan and the relevant authorities to immediately release Alam Khan or produce him before any court of justice if he has committed any illegal action against the state law.

Eyewitnesses reported that at least three vehicles of Panjgur FC and one vehicle of intelligence agencies along with SHO Ameer Jan under the command of FC Panjgur Rifle took part in the offensives to arrest the Baloch student.
