Balochistan: Four coal miners abducted in Harnai
QUETTA: Unknown assailants have abducted four workers of private coal company from a mine near in district Harnai Balochistan on Sunday.
According to details, armed men opened fire on the mine of a private coal company and also set fire to the vehicle and engine.
The kidnapped labourers have been named as Khan Mohammad son of Safar Muhammad resident of Khanozai, Ameer son of Safar Muhammad resident of Khanozai, Naqeebullah son of Hafiz Sattar resident of Loralai and Zahoor Ahmad resident of Quetta.
The gunmen later release Zahoor Ahmad whereas the others are still missing. It is important to note that recently another four coal miners were abducted in the same area.
The kidnappers later contacted their family to demand huge sums for ransom in return for the safe release of the labourers.
Balochistan’s coal miners have long been victims of accidents and other unpleasant incidents during their hard work.
Now the attacks and kidnappings for ransom have become more frequent and practical.
