FBM condemns killing of five Bugti Baloch by Punjab Police and Pashtun civilians at Chaman border
QUETTA: The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) in a statement to media said that in the last two decades of the ongoing struggle for freedom, Pakistan as always, has lost its moral, political and legal legitimacy and to main its writ the Pakistani army and ISI have been forcibly disappearing, torturing and extrajudicial killing Baloch activists in different regions of Balochistan.
As part of its genocidal policies, the Punjab police (Counter-Terrorism Department) CTD have killed five previously abducted Baloch in a staged encounter on the eve of Eid (the Muslim religious festival). The Punjab police deceitfully portrayed the martyred Baloch as armed militant which is a statement that is completely contrary to the ground realities and based on lies.
The victims who were abducted from different areas of Balochistan and Punjab have been named as Dost Mohammad Bugti abducted from Karachi eight months ago, Ghulam Hussain Bugti abducted from Kandhkot five months ago, Master Ali Bugti abducted from Rajanpur on November 6 last year, Ramzan Bugti abducted from Putt Feeder area of Dera Bugti a year ago and Ata Mohammad Bugti abducted from Bahawalpur city of Punjab a year ago by the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies.
The Free Balochistan Movement further maintained that the Pakistani state judiciary has completely failed to take notice of the oppression and barbarism being inflicted on the Baloch civilians by the state institutions of Pakistan. ‘The Pakistani electronic and print media has also failed to play a positive and impartial role and is involved in covering up the crimes of the Pakistani army,’ FBM said.
The Free Balochistan Movement said that Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) recently on the orders of colonel Suleiman the Pakistani shot dead and injured several innocent peaceful protesters in Afghanistan’s bordering town Chaman.
At least nine people were martyred and 35 others were injured, including women and children due to direct firing of Pakistani forces. The condition of 12 people was said to be critical.
The Free Balochistan Movement said it shares the grief of the Pashtun families of the victims of Punjabi army’s unprovoked firing in the Spin Boldak area.
The recent and continuous barbarism of Pakistani forces against Baloch and Pashtun nation illustrates that we [Baloch and Pashtun] will have to endure tragedies such as Chaman and Rajanpur murders of Baloch and Pashtun sons by Pakistan’s Punjabi army until both nations intensify their struggle for national liberation.
The FBM said that Human Rights Organisations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the United Nations to play its role in protection of the oppressed and downtrodden Baloch and Pashtun from state terrorism.
The Free Balochistan Movement has urged the UN restrain its member states to obey the International Charter of Human Rights and refrain from using power against innocent Baloch and Pashtun civilians. “Such actions of UN will not only fulfil its political and moral responsibilities but it can also save the region from a major humanitarian crisis,” FBM said.
Strongly condemning the killing of five Bugti Baloch by Punjab police Counter-Terrorism Department and killing of Pashtun civilians in Spin Boldak near Chaman border, the FBM has urged the US, European and NATO member countries to take notice of Pakistan’s war crimes in Afghanistan and Balochistan and support Baloch and Pashtun nation to file war crimes case against the Pakistani state at the International Court of Justice so that the region could be saved from any major humanitarian crisis and catastrophe.
The FBM also demanded from international organizations and neighbouring countries [regional powers] to fulfil their responsibilities by providing moral and political support to Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtun nations in their struggle for regaining their national states.
