Balochistan: Five including three Baloch fighters killed in different incidents
QUETTA: Three Baloch resistance fighters (Sarmachars) and two others were killed in two different incidents in Zamuran and Tajaban areas of Ketch Balochistan on Monday.
According to sources, three fighters of the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) were killed in the mountain range of Zamuran in a gun battle against Pakistani forces. The deceased have been identified as Mukhtiar resident of Malikabad, Sajid resident of Gadgi Balgatar and Aziz Ahmed.
The Pakistani forces later shifted the dead bodies of the Baloch fighters to Turbat Hospital.
The Baloch Liberation Fighter (BLF) in a statement said that the fighters including an area commander were members of the organisation and paid tributes to them.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, two persons identified as Mohammad Hanif son of Miran resident of Tijaban and Amir Bakhsh son of Zabad resident of Sangabad Tijaban were shot dead in Heronak area of Ketch.
Sources reported the men, reportedly relatives of pro-freedom Baloch fighters were killed by Pakistan forces.
In the past also Pakistani forces abducted, disappeared and killed relatives of pro-freedom Baloch activists in such incident of collective punishment.
Baloch political and human rights activists say that such target killings by the Pakistani state and its criminal proxies are part of Pakistan’s counterinsurgency policy in Balochistan to deter the Baloch struggle for freedom.
