Balochistan: Iranian forces shot dead Baloch citizen in Saravan

Dozzap (Zahedan): The agents of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence have shot dead a Baloch youth in Saravan city of Iranian Occupied Balochistan in front of tens of eyewitnesses on Monday 31st of January.

According to details, the Baloch youth was shot dead in front of Saravan Prison by one of the prison guards and agents of intelligence agencies.  One of the prison guards was also wounded in Monday’s shootout.  

The identity of the killed Baloch youth was ascertained as Sadegh Nazari known as Sikandar Qalandarzaei son of Abdul Karim from the village of Kalegan in the city of Shastun (Saravan).

The victim was shot at least three times in his leg and chest while the Iranian soldier was shot in the abdomen. The wounded Iranian official was immediately taken to hospital while the Baloch citizen was left to die on the spot.

Sources informed Balochwarna News that Sadegh Nazari was previously summoned and threatened on multiple occasions by the Iranian security officials from the Ministry of Intelligence.

What led to Monday’s confrontation and killing of Sadegh?

Local sources say that the obscenity and threat by an intelligence officer led to the clash and death of Sadegh Nazari in front of Saravan Prison on Monday.

It is said that Sadegh was passing in front of Saravan when two intelligence officers approached and addressed Sadegh with ugly words and started mocking the Baloch people.

The victims, Sadegh turned around and protested their behavior. The officials pointed a gun at him and continue with their insults and threats.

Sadegh then reportedly opened fire with a pistol, injuring one of the officers in the abdomen.

Sources told Balochwarna News that an IRGC base is situated next to the Saravan prison, Sadegh was targeted and shot dead by one of the base’s soldiers from the guard tower.

It is worth mentioning that Sadegh’s killing was recorded by several passersby and in one of the videos posted on social media, an Iranian intelligence officer is seen running toward Sadegh after he collapsed on the ground.

The official is then witnessed insulting the victim with ugly words again and he doesn’t attempt to save his life or call any rescue service.  

Another source on condition of anonymity told Balochwarna News that Sadegh’s father was held in the same prison and he was subjected to severe torture due to which he lost his life.

Also, when Sadegh’s mother and sister used to visit his father in prison, they were followed insulted and disrespected by intelligence officials and IRGC soldiers on their way back home and to prison.
