Balochistan: Mobile tower blown up in Barkhan
QUETTA: A Ufone Telecommunication tower was blown up in Balochistan’s Barkhan region in the early hours of Saturday morning disrupting the communication services.
According to details, Telecommunication Company Ufone’s pylon was destroyed with explosives at Dolohai Takkari Kaor area in Barkhan, which disrupted the network in the area.
Meanwhile, Azad Baloch, the spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted responsibility for the destruction of the mobile tower.
In a statement to the media, Azad Baloch said that the tower was installed in an unpopulated area for spying purposes.
The BLA spokesperson said that Pakistani telecommunications companies had been warned before to refrain from erecting towers in uninhabited areas of occupied Balochistan.
“Our attacks on such projects will continue to intensify in the future,” he added.
