Free Balochistan Movement announces protests on 14 August
LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) has announced simultaneous protests in the UK, Germany and other cities to mark 14 August ‘Pakistan’s Independence Day’ as a Black Day.
The brief announcement was made on FBM’s tweeter account: ‘Pakistan was created on 14 August 1947 and she occupied Balochistan on 27 March 1948. Pakistan is the reason for our miseries and sufferings. We will mark this day as Black Day by protesting in front of Pakistan’s embassy & consulates in London, Frankfurt & other cities.’
The Free Balochistan Movement has requested all pro-freedom Baloch activists, other well-wishers and supporters of Balochistan to join the protests on Sunday.
It is pertinent to mention that each year Baloch nation celebrates the 11th of August as Balochistan’s Independence Day and pledges to continue the freedom movement till they regain their independence and sovereignty.
Whereas 14 August ‘Pakistan’s Independence Day’ is observed as a black day in Balochistan every year.
The Baloch pro-freedom parties are of the view that the newly created Pakistan within a few months of its ‘Independence’ has occupied the sovereign state of Balochistan and has been committing blatant human rights violations ever since.
