Balochistan: BLA accepts responsibility for Bolan attack
QUETTA: At least five Pakistani officials have been killed in an attack on security forces check posts in district Bolan area of Balochistan on Friday 12 August 2022.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson, Azad Baloch, in a statement to the media has accepted responsibility for the attack and said that BLA fighters attacked the check post in the Karkaden area of Bolan.
The statement further explained that the checkpoints were set up for the security of a gas company for transportation of natural gas to the Army Cantonment in Quetta.
The BLA spokesman said, ‘our fighter targeted the posts of Pakistani forces from three sides, in which two personnel on the front line were killed at the beginning of the attack and the rest of the personnel abandoned their post and ran away.’
Azad Baloch said that the attack continued for a long time, as a result of which five personnel of the occupying Pakistani Forces were killed.
The BLA in its statement emphasised that BLA will not allow the occupying state or other powers to loot natural gas and other resources in occupied Balochistan under any condition.
