Balochistan: Telecommunication towers destroyed in Kech

QUETTA: Unidentified men have blown up Ufone and PTCL towers and set the machinery on fire in the Shapuk area of district Kech Balochistan on Friday 19 August.

Following morning the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson, Azad Baloch, issued a statement to the media saying, ‘last night at 10 o’clock our Sarmachars attacked and destroyed the Ufone and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) tower and machinery in Shopuk area of Kech.’

The BLA spokesperson further said that the tower and other equipment were being used to provide service to Pakistani intelligence agencies for spying in Shapook and its surrounding areas.

Communication services have been suspended in Shapok, Saami and other adjoining areas after the attack.
