Free Balochistan Movement condemns Zahedan Massacre by Iranian forces
LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement, in a press release, has strongly condemned Iranian forces for killing peaceful Baloch protesters in Iranian-occupied Balochistan on Friday, September 30, saying that Iran occupied Balochistan by force in 1928, and since then it never relented its efforts for oppressing Baloch nation, even to the limit of genocide.
The FBM in its statement further said that to deprive the Baloch nation of its national identity, restrictions were placed on the culture, language and collective thinking of the Baloch people and contained the Baloch nation in various oppressive ways.
The Persian-dominated rulers of Iran accelerated the Baloch genocide even after its so-called religious revolution. On the one hand, Baloch youths are being hanged on baseless charges; on the other, Iran is now seeking to erase the name of Balochistan after dissecting many of its districts and annexing them with its other provinces.
The FBM statement read, “Pursuing its coercive and violent method of subjugation and persecution, an Iranian police officer, Ibrahim Kochakzai, arrested and raped a Baloch girl a few days ago in Chabahar city the name of investigation.
Following this unpleasant incident protests erupted against this heinous and ugly act throughout Occupied Balochistan, which is a natural reaction of a cultural society that has been forced to live in a stifling environment for years.
On Friday when Baloch people in Zahedan, the capital city of Iranian-occupied Balochistan, gathered to register their protest against the Chabahar incident the Iranian occupying forces opened indiscriminate firing at peaceful and unarmed Baloch protesters, which reportedly killed more than three dozen people and wounded hundreds of others.
The Free Balochistan Movement wants to make it clear to both the occupying countries, Iran and Pakistan, that the Baloch nation will not retreat an inch from its struggle for national liberation, no matter how much oppression the two enemy countries inflict upon the Baloch.
History is a witness to the fact that the oppression and tyranny of the occupiers cannot last for long. Today, the people of Iranian-occupied Balochistan have risen against this oppression, which is an encouraging act.
Free Balochistan Movement continues to raise the voice of the oppressed Baloch nation in Iran and Pakistan for liberty in every corner of the world.
The Free Balochistan Movement has further said in its statement that the change of the Iranian regime is not a solution to the problems of oppressed nations. Iran has occupied the lands of non-Persian nations, including Baluchistan, Kurdistan, and Al-Ahwaz, and as long as Iran continues to occupy their lands, the problems will not be solved but will be temporarily suppressed.
“The problem of the Baloch nation is not an administrative problem; in fact, it is a problem of national slavery,” the FBM said.
