Balochistan: Four Baloch Citizens, Including a Woman, Arrested in Iranian Military Raid in Taftan
Iran has Committed Horrible Massacre in Balochistan Under its Colonial Rule: BSO Azad
QUETTA: The central spokesman of Baloch Students Organization Azad in a statement said that the Iranian army has used forces against unarmed Baloch people in its occupied Balochistan, killing about a hundred people and injuring hundreds of others. While many Baloch have been arrested. “We appeal to the United Nations to take action on the serious human rights violations of Iran and Pakistan in Balochistan as a whole and intervene by declaring the Baloch land as a war zone.”
The BSO further said that last week Baloch people held a peaceful protest against the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl by an Iranian official in occupied Balochistan; however, the occupying armed forces of Iran attacked them with live bullets in order to sabotage their protest. Shots were fired at unarmed peaceful Baloch people.
The press release said that the wave of protests that started from the Iranian occupied city of Zahedan of Balochistan started a public uprising in the region, which was crushed by the Iranian army by shelling, killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds. . Shooting and shelling the common people in this way is not only a complete violation of human rights but also a serious genocide of the Baloch nation.
According to BSO-Azad’s statement, both Iran and Pakistan are occupying the Baloch land and looting the Baloch national resources and do not hesitate to use any kind of violence and brutal policy to maintain their occupation over Baloch land.
Just as Pakistan is perpetrating crimes against the Baloch nation without any class, gender, or age difference, Iran is also continuously following the same policies as an occupier. Prior to the Zahedan incident, the Iranian government has been using methods of persecution, like hanging hundreds of Baloch youths on gallows and killing them at the intersection. The current massacre of Baloch this week is the continuation of oppression that has been going on for decades.
The BSO-Azad in its statement has appealed to all human rights organizations, including the United Nations, to break their silence on the suppression of Baloch on both sides of the border and take action against the occupiers on the basis of war crimes and impose restrictions on both imperialist forces.
“If this silence continues and the occupying forces are not held accountable for the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan, a humanitarian crisis would engulf the region; we urge UN Security Council to take concrete steps for the support of unarmed Baloch for their democratic rights before it’s too late.” the BSO-Azad statement read.
