Better Late than Never: US president’s statement step in the right direction: Hyrbyair Marri

LONDON: In a statement to the media, the patriotic Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri said that US President Joe Biden’s statement regarding Pakistan “as an irresponsible nuclear power” is an indication that American politicians are now coming out of the self-deception that Pakistan was an ally or friend of America. Mr. Marri said that Pakistan always cheated America in the name of alliance and has been using US arms and money against it.

Mr. Marri said that the military aid that the United States provided to Pakistan, including combat helicopters and the latest combat jet, Pakistan has been using against the Baloch people for decades.

Hyrbyair Marri said that Pakistan’s double-crossing with the US led to the defeat of America in Afghanistan. To thwart American policies, Pakistan and its proxies burned thousands of NATO tankers in Balochistan and other areas and looted their goods and sold them publicly across Pakistan.

Pakistan, as per its nature, started to trick America from day first when it became an ally of the United States and now the US President’s declaration of Pakistan as an irresponsible nuclear country doesn’t only support the Baloch nation’s stance that Pakistan is an irresponsible and dangerous country, but it is also an indication that now America is moving towards realism coming out of self-delusion regarding the security of our region.

Mr. Hyrbyair Marri added that Iran has become a headache for the world including America because of the Pakistan army. The role of Pakistan’s nuclear scientist Abdul Qadir Khan regarding the Iranian nuclear program cannot be ignored. It is a clear and verified fact that nuclear scientist Abdul Qadir played an important role in laying the foundations of Iran’s nuclear program under the auspices of the Pakistani military.

Hence, supporting Pakistan by Western democracies is tantamount to shooting oneself in the foot.

Hyrbyair Marri said that a country like Pakistan can do anything for money. Everything sells in Pakistan, whether it is the Audio records of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s House or nuclear secrets. Pakistan has sold the blueprint and parts of making atomic bombs to Iran, Libya and other countries.

Therefore, it will not hesitate to sell nuclear weapons to non-state extremist forces for the money. The statement further read, “we, Baloch, have been repeating these concerns for tens of years and have been trying to inform the world that Pakistan with its current nuclear program is a threat to the existence of the entire world, especially the Baloch and Pashtun people.

The Free Balochistan Movement leader said that Pakistan has also tested its nuclear weapons in occupied Balochistan, as a result of these tests Baloch nation is suffering from nuclear radiation, various diseases including cancer and other deformities are common.

Mr Marri said, “We hope that the Baloch people of Iranian and Pakistan-occupied Balochistan will work hand in hand for the freedom of their land from the clutches of religious extremists like Pakistan and Iran. We Baloch need to get united and fight for the freedom of our land. I reiterate my commitment to the Baloch nation that I will stand till the end in the struggle for Baloch national freedom against both occupiers – Iran and Pakistan.

“We strongly reject the term like “Iranian Balochistan” and “Pakistani Balochistan” coined by the occupiers and this term is tantamount to interrupting the history, identity and continuity of the struggle for independence of the Baloch nation.

“We’ll also want to tell the occupiers that Baloch, land in its entirety, is a single entity which is called Balochistan – the Land of the Baloch nation. However, the British Raj during its colonial rule divided Balochistan for its vested interests and then it allowed Iran and Pakistan to occupy it.

“For us, both Iran and Pakistan are equally occupying Balochistan and the struggle for Baloch national independence against them is legitimate and every class of thought has the right to participate in Baloch national politics after the independence of Balochistan. This clause has also been included in the Balochistan Liberation Charter.

“Hence, all the sections and thoughts of school in Balochistan must work together as Baloch for the success of Baloch national liberation struggle.”
