Balochistan: Iranian forces arrested several people during Friday protests

 Dozzap (Zahedan): Baloch people continue their protests against Iranian state brutalities and commemorate ‘the bloody Friday’ in Zahedan every Friday.

On January 27, people took to the streets after Friday, from the vicinity of Makki Masjid and chanted slogans against Iranian forces and the leader of Iran.

 T disperse the ongoing protest demonstration of the Baloch people the Iranian forces attacked the demonstrators, arrested several Baloch citizens and transferred them to an unknown location.

However, despite the Iranian Army and police forces’ brutalities and arrest of several people and blocking the roads leading from all sides of Makki Masjid,  the Baloch people continued their resistance by holding banners and placards in their hands in central Zahedan and several other cities of Iranian occupied Balochistan.

There have also been reports that drones of the Iranian Army have been patrolling the skies of Zahedan city since January 20.

It should be noted that the series of protests in Balochistan started in the last week of September 2022 against the rape of a Baloch girl in Chabahar city by the Chief of Chahbahar police forces.

Meanwhile, the Iranian military forces have arrested at least 9 Baloch youths including four members of the Makki Masjid administration in Zahedan.

The Baloch Activists Campaign on Friday reported that at least 9 Baloch youths were arrested by military forces.

The identity of four of the detained youths who were members of the administration of Makki Masjid Zahedan has been ascertained as Asif Reginejad Shorky son of Nematullah, Yasin Reginejad Shorky son of Abdul Haq, Ali Reginejad Shorky son of Naoshirvan and Owais Brahoui.

The identity of other five other detainees has been confirmed Irfan Brahui 14 years old son of Ghafoor, Yasin Shahouzahi 15 years old son of Jafar, Mustafa Shahouzahi 14 years old son of Nader, Osman Rakhshani 19 years old son of Abdul Rauf and Abdol Malek Sanjrani 25 years son of Khoda Nazar Khan from Zahedan.

It is said that the number of members of the Makki Masjid administration who were arrested by the military forces is more than what has been reported so far.

 Earlier, the Iranian military forces had threatened to arrest the administration of Makki Masjid who have not allowed the military blockade to prevent protests.

Also, Iranian forces arrested several Baloch who were returning from the Mosque to their homes and have beaten several youths during their arrest.

According to the 2022 annual report of the Baloch Activists Campaign, more than 300 arrest reports have been received by the campaign, and these reports were divided into two categories before the “Mahoo Baloch” movement and after it.

After the news of the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl named Maho by the police chief of Chabahar, protests were held in different regions of Balochistan, and at the same time as the nationwide protests in Iran, the number of arrests suddenly increased.
