Balochistan: One Coast Guard personnel killed another injured in Gwadar

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army spokesperson Azad Baloch issued a statement to the media and said that on February 13, 2023, BLA fighters targeted Pakistani Coast Guard personnel with a remote control bomb in the Jiwani area of Gwadar.

As a result, one official was killed and another seriously injured. Azad Baloch said that our organization Baloch Liberation Army accepts responsibility for this attack.

He further added that “our Sarmachars targeted the motorcycle-riding personnel of the Coast Guard when they were returning after delivering food to other personnel on Mill Road.”

Last week, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) carried out an attack on the Pakistani Coast Guard in the Daran area of Jiwani; the blast killed at least four and injured at least five others.

Also, on February, 10, BLA target a convoy of Pakistani forces in Kohlu Balochistan killing at least nine soldiers including a Major and a Captain.

BLA spokesperson in his statement also said that some so-called political elements in Jiwani went to ISI and MI to vent their enmity or to gain political interests and nominated common civilians as BLA members.

 “We are aware of their activities and watching all their movements hence they should desist from such actions,” he warned.
