Balochistan: Abduted Mahal Baloch fainted during court hearing
QUETTA: The Baloch woman, Mahal Baloch, fell unconscious, during her first court hearing due to physical and mental torture, her family said.
The sit-in has been continuing in the red zone against the arrest in false cases against Mahal Baloch in Quetta.
Relatives of Mahal Baloch, who participated in the sit-in, said that today she was presented in the court, but she appeared to be mentally very weak due to severe torture.
When she was brought into the courtroom, she fainted in front of the judge, the family said.
The relatives said that if the government is looking at the case of Mahal Baloch legally, then we appeal that she should not be tortured.
They warned, “if she is further tortured, we will widen the scope of the protest.”
Meanwhile, Nasrullah Baloch, Chairman of Baloch Voice for Missing Persons, in Tweet said that the police’s attempt to use violence against peace sit-in at the red zone for the release of Mahal Baloch and Home Minister Zia Langov’s hint to use force is an undemocratic act which we condemn and demand that the government refrain from using force on a peaceful sit-in.
The sit-in protest in Quetta and protests elsewhere in Balochistan continue against the arrest and fabricated charges against Mahal Baloch.
Mahal was arrested from her home in Quetta about a week ago and despite the CTD’s allegations against her, she remained in illegal custody until Friday when she was presented before a judge.
