Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Balochistan: Pakistan forces abducted four including a visually impaired man
QUETTA: Pakistani forces abducted at least four people including a visually impaired elderly man from Balochistan Awaraan district on Sunday and Monday.
Three men abducted on Monday have been named as Rahim Dad, Muhammad Azam son of Ata Muhammad and Abdul Nabi son of Muhammad Bakhsh from Mishky Kaalar yesterday.
Separately Sunday, Pakistani forces abducted an elderly man named Mahmood son of Shafi Mohammad who is also visually impaired.
According to regional sources, Abdul Nabi originally hails from Mashkaey ‘s Zang area but he was forcibly displaced by the Pakistan forces five years ago and ordered to live in Kalar. Similarly, Rahim Dad was originally a resident of Mashkay’s Khad Kocha area but he was also forced to live in Kalar three years ago.
They were forcibly disappeared by the Pakistan forces in 2017 and were released a year later in 2018.
On Sunday, Pakistani forces abducted an elderly man from the Gujjar area of Mashaky. The victim was named Mahmood son of Shafi Mohammad resident of Mehi Awaraan, Balochistan.
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, VBMP, has expressed grave concerns about the safety and well-being of Mahmood given he’s visually impaired. The VBMP has strongly urged the authorities to release the elderly man.
The whereabouts of all four men remained unknown at the time of filing this report.
