Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
China and Iran and supporting Pakistan against Baloch freedom struggle: FBM
QUETTA: The Free Balochistan Movement in a statement to the media said that Pakistan is involved in war crimes and violating International laws in occupied Balochistan.
The FBM said that on several occasions, the military officials of Pakistan have also directly acknowledged in their media talk shows that Pakistan was involved in the abduction, killing, and enforced disappearances of innocent Baloch.
“Pakistan authorities are torturing the enforced disappeared Baloch and conducting their media trials to use them against the Baloch freedom struggle. The latest example of such crimes is the ongoing media trial of Gulzar Imam by Pakistani authorities and media,” FBM statement added.
FBM further revealed that not only Pakistan but also other countries are involved in the arrest and extradition of Gulzar Imam. “According to our information, Gulzar Imam had an Afghani passport. If indeed he travelled to Turkey using an Afghani passport, then how did Turkey arrest an Afghan national and hand him over to Pakistan?
If Turkish involvement in Gulzar’s arrest and extradition is true, under which law Turkey can arrest a citizen of one country and hand him over to another country? It shows that Turkey has deliberately violated international laws.”
The Free Balochistan Movement in its statement said that Previously, Pakistan had arrested Malik Reki and handed him over to Iran. Thus why the role of Iran and China in arresting Gulzar Imam and making his extradition possible to Pakistan cannot be ruled out because Iran, China and Pakistan are working against the national movement and are providing logistical support to each other by arresting and handing over and target killing pro-freedom Baloch activists.
FBM said in the mid-seventies Iran had provided combat helicopters and pilots to Pakistan to crush the Baloch movement, similarly, Malik Reki and his brother were arrested by Pakistan and given to Iran. China has established its naval base in the coastal region of Balochistan in Gwadar in the name of CPEC and is providing technology and technical assistance to Pakistan to crush the Baloch liberation struggle.
The Free Balochistan Movement said that the collusion of China, Iran and Pakistan was naturally expected in the case of the arrest of Gulzar Imam because Pakistan and Iran want to strengthen their occupation of Balochistan while China is supporting Pakistan and Iran because it wants to take advantage of the geo-strategic location of Baloch land and Gwadar.
