FBM to protest in Germany and the UK on Human Rights Day
LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement has announced protests in Germany and the UK on 9 and 10 December to mark ‘International Human Rights Day’.
The FBM in a statement to the media said that its UK and German Branch will protest against Iran and Pakistan’s atrocities in Balochistan on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
“On December 9 2023 there will be a protest in Cologne city Germany whereas on 10 December FBM’s UK Branch will protest opposite the British Prime Minister’s official residence at 10 Downing Street in London.”
The Free Balochistan Movement added in its statement that these protests are a part of its global awareness campaigns and every year on this day, programs are organised in different countries and places of the world to bring the plight of the Baloch nation to the attention of the civilised world.
Such efforts aim to inform the international community and nations around the world that believe in democracy, human freedom and freedom about the situation in ‘occupied Balochistan.’
The statement added that the occupying Pakistan and Iran are currently involved in serious human rights violations in Balochistan and are ‘committing genocide’ against the Baloch nation, which the world is either unaware of or indifferent to.
The FBM in its statement highlighted that Pakistan and Iran were involved in enforced disappearances of thousands of people, kill and dump policy, fake encounters, mass killings and mass executions in Balochistan adding that there was a complete ban on peaceful protests, freedom of expression and media coverage of the state brutalities against Baloch people.
The statement added that Pakistan was also trying its hardest to bring demographic changes and forcing Baloch people to migrate from their ancestral lands but all such crimes of Pakistan were being ignored which is a cause of concern for Baloch human rights and political activists and parties.
The Free Balochistan Movement said in its statement that the recent incident in Turbat was a declaration by the state that it does not obey and respect international laws which is why Pakistani forces shot dead four previously abducted Baloch youth including Balach Maulabakhsh in a fake encounter.
FBM said before Balach’s murder they implicated him in a trumped-up case and filed an FIR against him. Then they presented him to a court to seek his physical remand. A judge remanded Balach for ten days to Counter Terrorism Department (CTD’s) custody. But, the CTD extra-judicially killed him and three others in a staged encounter. Balach’s murder at the hands of CTD ignited public resistance and enormous protests against fake encounters and Pakistani state atrocities in Balochistan.
The Free Balochistan Movement said that Baloch people in Iranian-occupied Balochistan were suffering the same fate. The Iranian forces continue to attack Baloch villages, arrest Baloch youth and execute Baloch prisoners regularly.
Sadly, the international community remains silent on Iran’s crimes against humanity and brutalities in Balochistan.
To highlight Iran’s and Pakistan’s crimes in Balochistan, the Free Balochistan Movement will hold a protest demonstration in Cologne, Germany on December 9 from 14:00 – 16:00 at Günter Wand Platz in the Centre of Koln city.
Also, on 10 December FBM will protest in London outside the official residence of the British Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street from 13:00 – 15:00.
Free Balochistan Movement has requested all Baloch political and human rights activists in Germany and the UK to join the protests on ‘International Human Rights Day’ and fulfill their national and humanitarian duty.
