British MP tables motion for admiration of Baloch women
LONDON: The Labor MP for Hayes, Harlington and former Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell today tabled a motion in British Parliament in support of the brave women who led the Long March across Balochistan to draw attention to the disappearances, kidnappings and murders in Balochistan.
In the motion he maintained, ‘That this House expresses its admiration for the courage displayed by the women leading the Long March to Islamabad from across Balochistan to raise awareness of the disappearances, abductions and killings associated with the operations of Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department.
He added that there have been violent attacks on the marching protesters by the Police; and calls upon the Government to raise its concerns about the violation of fundamental human rights against the people of Balochistan with the Pakistani government.
