 Balochistan: Pakistani forces intensify Bolan offensives

QUETTA: The Pakistani military has been carrying out military atrocities in Balochistan’s Bolan and surrounding regions for the past five days.

The indiscriminate shelling in mountainous areas has caused heavy damage to wildlife and killed hundreds of animals of the nomads in the region.

 According to reports, the Pakistani forces arrested six people of the Pashtun Waraich tribe from the mountainous region of Harnai yesterday and transferred them to Harnai Jail for interrogation.

Earlier, the Pakistani troops raided houses and detained women and children near Dhadar and Shaban areas near Sibbi. There was no news about the detained persons at the time of filing this news report.

The Pakistan forces have also reportedly established new check posts in Sangaan and Harnai’s hilly regions.

Locals complain that the Pakistani troops have set fire indiscriminate fire in the region due to which hundreds of animals of the nomads were killed, the forest caught fire and wildlife has been heavily impacted.

Unusual movements and an increase in Pakistani forces have also been reported in Kohlu’s Kahan and adjoining areas.

It is feared that the newly selected government will accelerate military aggression and initiate fresh atrocities in Balochistan as soon as they have taken charge.
