Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
FBM to hold protests and awareness gatherings across Europe on 27 March
LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement in a statement to the media said that the party would hold public rallies and demonstrations in different European countries against the forcible occupation and illegal annexation of the Eastern Part of Balochistan by Pakistan on 27 March 1947.
It should be remembered that the independence of Balochistan was formally recognised by the British on 11th August 1947 when it left the Indian subcontinent, since then the legitimate Kalat ruler Mir Ahmad Yar Khan Ahmadzai established a bicameral House of Representatives which consisted of the House of Lords and House of Commons.
However, the newly British-made state of Pakistan started hatching conspiracies to occupy Balochistan when it exhausted all its deceitful tricks to convince the Baloch to join Pakistan including on the basis of religion then Pakistan forcibly occupied Balochistan through military aggression, they imprisoned and exiled the ruler of Kalat (Balochistan) and on 27 March 1947 declared the so-called accession of Balochistan to Pakistan.
Since the occupation of their country, the Baloch have been continuously engaged in resistance against Pakistan to regain their freedom. The younger brother of Ahmad Yar Khan, Prince Abdul Kareem Khan, led the first Baloch uprising against Balochistan’s occupation.
The FBM in its statement said that Pakistan responded violently to the Baloch campaign for freedom killing, disappearing and torturing thousands of Baloch. Hundreds of thousands of Baloch have been displaced and forced to leave their ancestral lands while their villages, livestock and crops have been either destroyed or taken over by Pakistani forces.
Thousands of Baloch political activists have been imprisoned in Pakistani army camps incommunicado for years and the mutilated dead bodies of thousands of political activists have been dumped in deserted areas across Balochistan.
“Despite occupying states’ brutalities, atrocities and crimes against humanity, the world is still pursuing a strategy of silence towards Baloch and Balochistan, ignoring Iran and Pakistan’s aggression against the Baloch nation.”
The Free Balochistan Movement statement added that due to the silence of International powers, Pakistan and Iran and trying to root out the Baloch political resistance to turn the Baloch nation into a minority in Balochistan, Pakistan with the help of Iran and China has created a humanitarian crisis in Balochistan to pave the way for looting the abundant resources of Baloch natural resources.
The statement further said that the arbitrary border lines drawn by foreigners that divided Balochistan have never been accepted by the Baloch nation, Baloch living on these arbitrary border lines are the worst victims of state oppression meted out against them by Iran and Pakistan.
The FBM urged the Baloch political workers to highlight the plight of Balochistan and tell the story of oppression to the world with facts and figures.
” March 27 is just a symbol, as Iranian and Pakistani oppression and tyranny in Balochistan has made every day and every moment as terrible as the day of 27 March. Hence, All of us should strive tirelessly on every front to remove the cursed yoke of slavery and be reintroduced on the map of the world as a free nation.”
FBM’s statement further said that staging protests and holding gatherings on the twenty-seventh day of March will be part of continuous awareness campaigns to expose the intrigues of the occupiers inside Balochistan and to make the world aware of Balochistan’s struggle for independence.
