BLA Accepts Responsibility for Two Attacks in Kalat
QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks in Kalat, Balochistan on 17 and 19 May respectively.
In a statement issued by Azad Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, the group targeted a construction company and an undercover agent of the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI.
On May 19, Baloch fighters attacked a company involved in road construction in the Harboi area of Kalat, specifically at Amiri. They set fire to the company’s machinery and vehicles.
The BLA in its statement said that the construction project was aimed at facilitating Pakistani military operations in Balochistan.
Earlier, on May 17, BLA fighters opened fire at the Harboi Hotel near the Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Kalat, injuring an ISI agent.
The agent, a resident of Punjab, had been working as a spy for Pakistani intelligence services for several years.
