Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
FC camp attacked in Kharan, forces carried out violent offensives
QUETTA: The fighters of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked a main camp of Pakistan Frontier Corps in Kharan Balochistan on June 19.
The BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch in a statement to the media said that on the evening of June 19, our operatives attacked the main camp of the occupying FC in Kharan with four grenade launchers.
The FC, however, stated indiscriminate firing on the general population as a result a Baloch woman named Fazila Mistianzai was wounded.
It should be noted that previously FC Kaharan targeted the general population after attacks by Baloch fighters.
A few years ago, there were bomb attacks on the FC camp, after which two women were injured due to the FC’s indiscriminate firing, one of whom later succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
The Pakistani forces also carried out offensives in Tagzi village in Kharan and abducted at least two Baloch youths.
The victims of enforced disappearances have been identified as Bilal Baloch and Fazal Baloch son of Ghulam Jan. The abducted men are cousins. Eyewitnesses reported that Fazal Baloch was brutally beaten up during his arrest and abduction.
The relatives of both youths and residents of the area blocked the jungle road in protest demanded the recovery of abducted cousins and strongly condemned the state offensives against civilians in the region.
It should be noted that forced disappearances of Baloch youths by the Pakistani forces and secret agencies continue throughout Balochistan.
In many areas, relatives and people have held protest sit-ins for the recovery of their loved ones.
Pakistani forces also conducted offensives near Kharan Fort on Friday.
According to details Pakistani forces raided the residence of Ibrahim Mengal and a few others by smashing the windows and doors of the houses.
However, at the time of filing this report, there were no reports of any arrest or any other unpleasant incidents.
