Pakistan Acting on Chinese Orders to Suppress Baloch and Pashtun People: Hyrbyair Marri
Free Balochistan Movement to Launch Social Media Campaign Following President’s Views on X (Formerly Twitter)
LONDON: Prominent Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri, the president of the Free Balochistan Movement, has expressed his concern about planned military operations in Balochistan and Pashtunistan, orchestrated by Pakistan at the behest of China.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Marri condemned the operation”Azm e Istehkam” (Resolve for Stability), as a move to bolster Chinese and Punjabi interests at the expense of the local Baloch and Pashtun populations.
Marri’s post read, “A new military operation is being planned by Pakistan on Chinese orders against the Baloch & Pashtun, known as Azm e Istehkam (Resolve for Stability). That’s Azm e Istehkam for China and Punjab, not for the Baloch & Pashtun people.”
He further criticized the involvement of some local collaborators, mentioning the Baloch’s minimal participation and contrasting it with the substantial number of Pashtuns who have joined the Pakistani army.
“We the Baloch have a handful of collaborators and turncoats, but the Pashtun have volunteered in tens of thousands, being inducted into the army, and then being used by the Punjabis, to kill their own Pashtun,” Marri added.
Marri urged the Pashtun people to reconsider their allegiance to the Pakistani army, urging them to protect their homeland, Pashtunistan, rather than serving what he described as “Punjabi interests.”
He warned that the “Resolve for Stability” operation would only serve to strengthen Punjabi hegemony while bringing “chaos and death” to Balochistan and Pashtunistan.
His X post concluded with the hashtags:

#StopBalochAndPashtunGenocide
In a follow-up statement, the Free Balochistan Movement announced plans to launch a social media campaign against the Pakistani military aggression “Azm-e-Istehkam.” The campaign is set to begin on Thursday evening and will use the same hashtags that the party’s president used in his X post.
The statement emphasised that news from Pakistani media and other sources indicates that the Pakistani military is preparing a large-scale operation to protect Chinese interests and investments under the guise of achieving stability.
The Free Balochistan Movement aims to use the social media campaign to raise international awareness about a planned “bloody war” against the Baloch nation.
Additionally, the FBM stated that to appease China and protect the huge investment made by them in Balochistan, Pakistan is preparing to launch military offensives to gain so-called “stability” for themselves by increasing the volume, scale, and intensity of the current Baloch genocide.
“Through this campaign started on X and other social media forums, we want to convey our concerns to international forces, including news organizations at the global level, that the Baloch struggle is being thwarted by Pakistan by resorting to deception to declare the Baloch freedom movement as internal political and military instability,” the statement read.
The Free Balochistan Movement called on supporters worldwide to participate in the campaign, particularly on Thursday, July 4, from 4 pm to 12 am Balochistan time. The organization urged people to join the effort to expose the “hideous game and alliance of Pakistan and China against the Baloch nation” and to inform international institutions and their people about the situation.
