Pakistani Forces Arrest Five Baloch Men in Gwadar
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces arrested five Baloch men in the port city of Gwadar and transferred them to an unknown location.
According to the Baloch Activists Campaign (BAC), five Baloch men were arrested by Pakistani security forces in Gwadar on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
The identities of the five men have been ascertained as Arif Jadgal, 30, from Dashtiari and resident of Gwadar, Naveed Jadgal, 36, from Chabahar, Moeen Naqashbandi from Rask and resident of Chabahar, Ameer Mohammad Shahbakhsh from Zahedan and resident of Chabahar, and Abdul Rahman Gamshadzehi from Saravan in Iranian-occupied Balochistan.
The BAC further added that Naveed, Moeen, Ameer Mohammad, and Abdul Rehman went to Arif’s house in Gwadar for a visit. As they were leaving Gwadar, Pakistani security forces stopped Arif’s vehicle and arrested all five men.
Pakistani or local media have not yet reported their arrest and disappearance.
Gwadar is under strict security siege following the announcement of the Baloch National Gathering by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), led by Dr. Mahrang Baloch.
