Three Baloch Youths Injured by Iranian Forces in Kalhgan, Sarawan
DOZZAP (Zahedan): Three Baloch youths were injured in the firing and assault by Iranian military forces (Mersad) in Kalhgan, Sarawan.
According to Baloch campaign activists (BAC), on Saturday, July 20, 2024, three young Baloch occupants of a fuel-carrying vehicle in the border region of Kalhgan, Sarawan city, were targeted by Mersad armed forces without prior warning.
The identities of the three victims were confirmed as Imran Balochzahi, 14 years old, his brother Rahman Balochzahi, 16 years old, children of Ashraf, and their cousin Basit Balochzahi, 15 years old, son of Ghous Bakhsh. All are from the village of Modgli in the Bampusht area of Sarawan in Iranian-occupied Balochistan.
Reports indicate that the Mersad armed forces ambushed the traffic route of the fuel transporters in the Kalhgan area and opened fire on the vehicle without warning on their way back home.
Rahman, the driver, was injured by a bullet in the abdomen, while his brother Imran was injured by a bullet near his heart. Basit, their cousin, was also injured.
All three were shifted to Razi Sarawan Hospital, where Imran’s condition is reported to be critical.
Statistics from the Human Rights department of the Baloch Activists Campaign (BAC) indicate that in the first six months of 2024, at least 133 Baloch people were killed and at least 80 were injured due to road accidents, military force fire, and pursuits by military forces. Among the casualties, at least nine were children.
