Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Baloch Community in Norway Protests Against Human Rights Violations in Balochistan
OSLO: The Baloch community in Norway staged a protest in front of the Norwegian Parliament on Saturday to condemn the ongoing enforced disappearances and human rights violations against the Baloch people in Balochistan, including Gwadar, and to decry the oppression faced by Baloch people in Iran.
The protest saw a significant turnout, with a large number of community members, including women, gathering to voice their concerns. The demonstrators called attention to the atrocities being committed by both Iranian and Pakistani states in Balochistan.
Protesters expressed their frustration over the severe conditions faced by the Baloch people, claiming that the oppressive actions of the “occupying” states of Iran and Pakistan have made life unbearable for Baloch people.
They highlighted that these human rights abuses are reminiscent of the injustices faced in medieval times, drawing a stark contrast with the modern era’s expectations of human dignity and rights.
The protesters made an urgent appeal to the international community, including the government of Norway, urging them to intervene and help put an end to the brutality imposed by Pakistan and Iran. They called for global support in liberating the Baloch people from oppression and occupation.
The demonstration in Oslo is part of a broader effort by the Baloch diaspora to raise awareness about the plight of their people and to garner international support for their cause.
