Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Pakistan Day Festival and Forces Attacked, BLA Accepts Responsibility
QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for at least three attacks on Pakistani forces and an event organized for Independence Day celebrations in different cities of Balochistan.
The BLA’s spokesperson, Azad Baloch, in a statement, said, “Our fighters targeted the so-called Pakistan Independence Day festival by detonating a remote-controlled device at a football ground in Kharan City.
“The attack occurred during a football match that was part of a military-sponsored festival. However, the attack was intended as a warning, and care was taken to ensure no civilians were harmed.”
The statement further elaborated that certain elements in Kharan were collaborating with the Pakistani military, using sports, education, and other sectors for their purposes.
“We warn them to refrain from such anti-social and anti-national activities; otherwise, they will meet the same fate as Sarfaraz Sappo, who was acting as a fake player and attempted to hijack the sports sector in Kharan under the direction of the Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies.”
The BLA accused Sarfaraz Sappo of forcibly integrating military culture into Baloch society under the guise of such military-sponsored events and facilitating the genocidal policies of the Pakistani military.
“We have previously issued a policy statement urging the Baloch nation to avoid participating in Pakistan’s fake Independence Day celebrations.
“Once again, we warn all sports organizers, players, government employees, and officers in Kharan to avoid all programs organized by the FC and intelligence agencies, including the so-called August 14th celebrations.”
Pakistani Forces Attacked in Turbat and Mangochar
Azad Baloch also accepted responsibility for two other attacks on Pakistani forces in the Mangochar and Turbat areas of Balochistan on Tuesday, August 13.
He stated, “Our fighters attacked the main FC camp located in the Mangochar area of Kalat with a grenade launcher. The sensitive area of the camp was targeted, resulting in losses for the occupying forces.”
In another similar attack, BLA fighters targeted a patrolling vehicle of Pakistani forces with a hand grenade near the bus terminal in Wastu Bazar, Turbat.
The BLA has taken responsibility for all the attacks above and vowed to continue such actions until the freedom of Balochistan is achieved.
