Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Pakistani Forces Abduct Four Persons from Kharan and Gwadar
QUETTA: Pakistani forces have abducted and made at least four people disappear from different areas of Balochistan, including one in Gwadar, on August 12 and 14.
Two of the abducted men have been identified as Amanullah son of Eid Muhammad, and Akram son of Dad Muhammad.
Akram was detained by Pakistani forces today, August 14, from the Panwan area of the coastal city of Gwadar, while Amanullah was detained from Othal on August 12. However, his abduction was confirmed only today.
Meanwhile, in Kharan, Balochistan, the relatives of two Baloch youths staged a protest, completely closing down the Secretariat Chowk and the Red Zone.
According to the families of the victims, Pakistani forces took two youths, Lakmir son of Haji Saleh and Khudadad son of Musa, from Kharan Bazar and transferred them to an unknown location.
Due to the sit-in protest, Kharan Secretariat Chowk and the Red Zone were completely closed.
Although negotiations were held by the administration, the talks were not successful, and the sit-in continues.
The relatives of the abducted youths stated they would not end their protest until their loved ones were recovered.
