Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Jaish al-Adl Claims Responsibility for Killing Senior Iranian Intelligence Official in Balochistan
DOZZAP (ZAHEDAN):– The militant group Jaish al-Adl announced on Friday, August 23, that it successfully carried out an assassination targeting the head of the Intelligence Department in Khash County, Hossein Piri.
The group, which has a history of insurgent activities in Iranian Occupied Balochistan, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement released online.
According to the statement, the operation was executed by Jaish al-Adl’s Intelligence and Operations Unit, using what they described as “accurate intelligence” to track and eliminate Piri.
The militant group labeled Piri as a “criminal military commander” and accused him of participating in the suppression and persecution of Baloch citizens. They alleged that his actions had left “his hands repeatedly stained with the blood of the oppressed Muslim people of Balochistan.”
Jaish al-Adl also issued a stern warning to other military and security forces in Iran, urging them to distance themselves from the regime of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The group called on them to “seek honorable livelihoods” rather than serve as tools of oppression.
The statement added that responsibility for any future “financial and psychological costs” of such operations would fall on the targeted individuals.
