Panjgur Clash: 11 Pakistani Forces Killed, Over 15 Injured: BLA
QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army spokesperson, Azad Baloch, informed media that on August 20, in the Chitkan area in Panjgur, Balochistan, two Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters were engaged in their duties when Pakistani forces, accompanied by local death squad members, attempted a raid at 1 a.m to capture them.
According to BLA statement, despite being heavily outnumbered, the two fighters fiercely resisted until morning. The clash resulted in 11 Pakistani personnel killed and over 15 injured.
After five hours of intense fighting, the BLA fighters, Zahid Jan alias Jango and Hafiz Mumtaz alias Mulla Saifullah, embraced martyrdom.
Azad Baloch in BLA statement maintained that Hafiz Mumtaz alias Mullah Saif was killed in battle, while Zahid Jan alias Jango, following the “Last Bullet” philosophy, sacrificed himself after exhausting his ammunition.
“Shaheed Hafiz Mumtaz, from Nag, Washuk, served the BLA for two years, earning a reputation for his courage on multiple fronts.
Shaheed Zahid Jan, from Washbud, Panjgur, was a three-year BLA veteran, known for his fearlessness and dedication. He came from a family with a history of sacrifices for the national cause.”
The statement concluded that the BLA honors the bravery and sacrifice of these comrades, whose heroism has left a lasting legacy for Baloch nation and instilled fear in the enemy.
