Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Free Balochistan Movement Protest in the USA
Washington: On August 30th, the Free Balochistan Movement USA branch organized a protest demonstration in observance of the International Day of Enforced Disappearances.
In a statement to media the FBM said that over the past two decades, thousands of Baloch political and social activists have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani and Iranian intelligence agencies throughout Balochistan.
“It is important to remember that today, Baloch people are still facing inhuman punishments in the prisons of Iran and Pakistan,” the FBM added.
The protest featured speeches from prominent figures including Waheed Baloch, former Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, as well as renowned Baloch intellectual Waja Hussain Burr from Iranian-occupied Balochistan, and FBM activists Hadi Baloch and Mehdi Baloch, among other supporters.
The speakers highlighted that the ongoing ethnic genocide of Baloch people by the occupying Pakistani and Iranian states has been a continuous process since the very first day of occupation.
According to the FBM statement, the pro-freedom Baloch political parties have consistently raised their voices against such injustices from the very beginning to the present day, the Baloch have regularly condemned the Iranian and Pakistani oppression and the genocide of the Baloch nation.
