Germany: FBM Protest Highlights Human Rights Violations in Balochistan
Hamburg: The Free Balochistan Movement Germany Branch held a protest in Hamburg, Germany, to draw attention to enforced disappearances in occupied Balochistan. The demonstration began at the central train station of Hamburg, where protesters gathered to chant against the enforced disappearances occurring in Balochistan.
Following the gathering, the protesters marched through various city streets to the tourist destination of Jungfernstieg.
Participants carried banners and placards denouncing the illegal occupation of Balochistan, human rights violations, and enforced disappearances. Throughout the protest, they chanted slogans condemning the illegal occupation and other crimes committed by Pakistan and Iran in Balochistan. Hundreds of pamphlets in German and English were distributed during the protest to raise awareness among the German public about the situation in Balochistan.
Speakers at the protest included Mumtaz Baloch, Ashfaque Baloch, Beebagr Baloch, Naveed Baloch, Sameer Baloch, Balach Baloch, and Aasan Baloch.
The speakers addressed the crowd, stating, “We are gathered here today to urge the world to speak out against the genocide of Baloch people in Balochistan. Pakistani forces have been committing genocide in Balochistan for 75 years.”
They highlighted that thousands of men, women, and children have been forcibly disappeared, and families of the missing individuals in Balochistan are protesting daily.
The speakers called on the international community to take notice of the human rights violations occurring in Balochistan. They criticized the ongoing violations of citizens’ rights by Pakistani forces, including the detention of thousands of Baloch individuals in secret torture cells where they endure severe and inhumane treatment.
The speakers expressed regret over the lack of response from the civilized world and human rights organizations to these issues, questioning their mandate and responsibility
