Free Balochistan Movement to Hold Protest at Iranian Embassy in London

Event to Commemorate Victims of “Bloody Friday” and Highlight Ongoing Atrocities Against Baloch People

LONDON – The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) has announced plans to hold a protest outside the Iranian Embassy in London on September 30, 2024.

The protest is scheduled to take place from 2 PM to 4 PM, during which participants will light candles to honour the martyrs of Zahedan and Khash.

The protest aims to mark the two-year competition of the “Bloody Friday” massacre, which occurred on September 30, 2022. On that day, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened fire on peaceful Baloch protesters in Zahedan, resulting in the death of more than 100 innocent Baloch and the injury of hundreds more.

The incident sparked widespread outrage, as many of the victims were protesting against the rape of a Baloch girl by a commander of Iranian forces, systemic oppression and human rights violations in the region.

The FBM press release also highlighted other atrocities committed by Iranian forces, including the brutal killings of Baloch citizens in Shamshir, Khash, and other areas.

According to the FBM, Iranian forces continue to abduct and execute Baloch individuals on trumped charges, with recent reports of hundreds of Baloch ‘Sokhtbar’ fuel carriers’ being killed under different pretexts.

The Free Balochistan Movement has called on all Baloch living in the UK, as well as human rights activists, to join the protest and raise global awareness of the ongoing violence and repression against the Baloch people.

By gathering in front of the Iranian Embassy, the FBM hopes to draw international attention to the plight of the Baloch population and demand justice for the victims of these heinous acts.

The protest will serve as a powerful reminder of the struggles faced by the Baloch community and the need for urgent international action to stop the violence and human rights abuses in Iranian-Occupied Balochistan.
