Balochistan: Pakistani Forces Abduct Two Youth From Hub Chowki

QUETTA: Pakistani intelligence agencies have forcibly disappeared two young men from a hotel in the industrial city of Hub Chowki on Tuesday night.

Witnesses say that armed forces apprehended the individuals late at night near the Hub Bhawani Shah pump, forcibly loading them into a vehicle at gunpoint.

The two young men have been identified as Imran Baloch son of Mohammad Iqbal from Amirabad, and Junaid Hamid son of Abdul Hamid from Bhawani.

Baloch Warna News sources reported that Junaid works as a labourer for a local company, while Imran’s father is a former regional councillor.

This incident adds to the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances in the region, which has seen numerous individuals vanish without a trace, often at the hands of state forces.

Human rights organisations have expressed deep concern over the increasing number of such cases, calling for accountability and an end to the practice.

The families of the missing individuals are now left in anguish, seeking answers and justice for their loved ones.

Activists continue to demand government action to address the rising trend of disappearances and ensure the safety of civilians in Balochistan.
